Vic: Police release name of man shot dead as he saves woman

Police have released the name of a man accidentally shot dead by his duck shootingcompanion in Victoria.

He was 29-year-old ADAM BERNARD LEEN of Murgheboluc, near Geelong.

Mr LEEN died when his 25-year-old female companion's gun went off yesterday as he grabbedher clothes as she fell into the lake, gun in hand.

Police say the pair had been shooting on Lake Colangulac (Pron: Kolangulack), nearCamperdown in Victoria's west, aboard an aluminium punt.

Colac detectives are investigating the shooting and will prepare an inquest brief forthe Coroner.
