AUTHENTIDATE POSTS LOSS IN FISCAL THIRD QUARTER.(BUSINESS)

SCHENECTADY -- AuthentiDate Holding Corp. posted a net loss of $2.5 million in its fiscal third quarter and $7.4 million for the first nine months, but said it made improvements in gross profits.

The quarterly loss equals 18 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $3 million, or 20 cents a share, for the same three months last year.

For the nine-month period ended March 31, the loss was 51 cents a share, compared with a loss of $6.2 million, or 42 cents a share, in the same period last year.
