NSW: Woman tied up and assaulted

A woman in her 20s has been tied up and sexually assaulted at her home in Sydney's west.

Police say the woman had answered a knock on her door at her Lansvale home about 5.30pm
(AEST) yesterday.

A man believed to be in his late teens asked if she would participate in a survey.

The woman declined and closed the door but was confronted by two men inside her house
about 15 minutes later, one armed with a knife.

The two men demanded money and bound the woman before assaulting her.

She later managed to free herself and raise the alarm.

Police say the two men were of Asian appearance, one of medium height and build and
one of a thin build.

Anyone with information on the assault should contact Cabramatta police or Crime Stoppers.
