Qld: Suppression order on casino bomber case

Lawyers will attempt to suppress much of the inquest into the fatal police shooting
of a man who threatened to bomb the Brisbane casino because they believe the case should
be treated as a suicide.

Forty-one-year-old BARRY GRAHAM STOUTE, of Nerang on the Gold Coast, took two security
guards hostage at the Brisbane Treasury Casino and demanded $500,000 on December 29 last
year.

During the three-hour-seige he appeared to be armed with a semi-automatic weapon, however,
it was later revealed to be a replica.
